DJ Richie Don Leaves Fridays at Dukes Genesis in Chelmsford Essex - July 2010

The End of an era:

After serving Chelmsford's finest Super club for over 4 years. Playing the freshest beats, classics, chart and niche tunes each and every Friday night - DJ Richie Don has now resigned from his Friday Night residency, in a club that has become part of Essex's clubbing heritage.

Richie frequently required more nights off to move onto other ventures on a Friday Night and he thought it was unfair on Dukes to keep taking this time off.

Richie always gave each performance at this venue 100%, and taking time out was not fair to both the club and Richie. The best way forward was to part company, amicably and professionally.

We spoke to Richie who commented:

"Dukes was my first ever super clubbing experience as a teenager, so to say that I have worked there during some of the best times in the clubs history has been an absolute honour. I would like to thank the management, promotional staff, fellow DJ's, door team, bar staff, office team and of course ALL the clubbers that have made this night the highlight of my working weekend!

I thank you all very very much.My time at this establishment one of the happiest of my career. The family atmosphere within was second to none and a real credit to all involved both in front of house and behind the scenes".
